Beautiful work Marilyn !! just love the trees |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thanks John. I really love trees. Honestly, you'll find me out in the yard hugging and talking to my trees. Well, not really hugging, but I do put my hands on them. They do so much better when you talk to them, and yes, I'm known as an eccentric around the neighborhood!!

Thanks Chris! I enjoyed painting this one. Lots of lovely detail with my nose practically against the board!

This is such a pretty image! Only one thing bothers me... I wish that the branch going across the unicorn wasn't blocking his nose. I don't know...it's just me. I love the delicate grace of their faces... ;) |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Well Sarah, I thought you were quite right and changed it. It does look much better now. Thank you.

Lovely colors and attention to detail - I stared into this for a full five minutes. |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Gee Bill, I do the same thing at your gallery! I especially like the "Shire".

It's breathtaking, Marilyn! What a beautiful moment you've captured! |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thank you Mary. That's my specialty....moments in time, captured in my mind's eye and transferred to canvas.

Great color, the purple in the shadow under the fallen tree is breathtaking!
Wonderful detail. You got a winner with this one!!! |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thanks for the compliment Storn. Sometimes an unexpected color in shadows works quite well.

Marilyn, fantastic rendering. I especially like the small everegreen tree in the foreground. Wonderful work! |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Yeah, I picked at that tree for some time. But it sure is worth it in the end. I must let you know I'm not a very patient person, so I'm pleased when I take the time to do it right. Thanks for coming to comment.

Beautifully detailed Hey, this is truly amazing :) the detail and the natural, peaceful look you've achieved here is stunning and beautiful to behold! It draws you in and makes you wish you could walk right into the scene... The colours of the flora are masterfully rendered. Marilyn, your work is always inspirational! |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Hey, you've made my day, Ihsan! To accomplish a painting is such a way that people can walk right into it, is my eternal goal. Thank you!

Jeepers you've been producing lots of work lately :). I love this one! Very moody and secret. |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Yes, isn't that wonderful? I decided that I don't have the time to go into larger pieces, so I'm concentrating on just 8 x 10's. Mind you, all else flies out the window!

Oh!Marilyn, this is stunningly atmospheric painting, the trees alone would have done it for me, but the addition of the unicorn brings an all together most magical feel, excellent! |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thanks, I hope I'm on a roll. I want to show that magic can be just around the corner.

Oooh! I love the fresh, cool feeling of the forest! almost feel like I'm there :) |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thanks Nell. There is nothing (to me) more inviting than a walk in the woods on a hot summer day. It really is cooler there.

its a lovely picture. forest unicorns live in the woods im sure. but others live in remote highlands where people never go. the woods in your picture look like the ones where i used to live, light and airy. i love the unicorn, the pose is very natural, its gorgeous. |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thanks Katy. It's nice to have you praise my unicorns when yours are so gorgeous!!

Brilliant work! I can't believe there is so much detail in such a small piece! I love this one! |
| (Marilyn Alice Boyle) |
Thanks Patrick! I find smaller pieces a challenge. Of course I find huge pieces a challenge too! I usually work in a mid-size range.
