Great Details
The embroidered detail on his jacket is a magnificent touch, and I love the line work on the thing (boulder? tree trunk?) that he's leaning on, as well as the trees in the background. And the castle reminds me of these sand castles I used to make on the beach when I was little where I just let wet sand drip through my fingers.

thanks Laura! I'm afraid the composition of this painting is still a bit stiff but I am trying to do better with the color harmony - going for that "old feeling" :)

Very incredible picture for an incredible story. He kinda reminds me of that guy from the Pianist..wossname...:D I really like the delicate handling of the planes of his face and hands, really nice work. His pallid skin tone really echoes what his fate will be *cues drum roll* Great work :)

thank you :) you recognized the resemblance - my Prince Prospero is a combination of the guy from The Pianist and this guy Alex in my French class - it makes a weird combination of a face that's for sure...
