As a druid I feel her power and love for nature. I do enjoy your work thank you. :) |

This turned out great! I'm glad I got to see this in progress over in the forum. The texture in the bark is terrific. I especially like the little bark "mask" she's wearing. | | (Joleen Flasher) |
Last night while I was finishing this, my friends decided that she looked like a super hero due to the mask. They came up with all sorts of names and powers for her...

Amazing detail on the tree and foliage. The muscle definition is impressive. | | (Joleen Flasher) |
On the tree, I'll agree with you. On the leaves, not so much. This painting almost got thrown away about a week ago because I was loosing patience with the leaves. No matter what I did, they kept ending up looking like splotches. Still do to me at least.

This is great, Joleen! love the way the tree bark merges with the dryad, lovely earthy colours! | | (Joleen Flasher) |
Thanks, James. I do a little fan-girl dance whenever you stop by and leave a message in my gallery.

Oooo.. Ahhhh... Eeee...! I love how you made her still part of the tree but I was wondering why not have made her hair green instead of the blondish brown that you have it. *shrugs* just thought that I would ask. Wonderful piece however.... you did a great job. ^-^ makes me wonder if yours is related to mine... *chuckles* | | (Joleen Flasher) |
Mainly because I didn't think of it. I thought a nice earthy brown would be about right for a dryad's hair. Certainly it could have been green and made just as much sense.
