I agree with Mark, your artwork is making us speechless, Christiaan. Wonderful picture again! Every new piece you make is a surprise and a delight! |

cheers anneke, im just having ag reat time illustrating tolkiens work, i had wanted to do pencil drawings a year ago of his world but coudnt get the desighns quite right, im glad that on the most part my idea of middle earth is comming across in my work.though ofcourse the mind is much more lavish than what i can currently do.

Ohhh! I love this one. The riders and their horses are so spooky. I don't really want to see inside their hoods. You can see they are being overtaken by the white ones on a wave. Great work as usual! |

cheers, they are invisible, someone commented here but they just rude so i deleted them, u can critisicise but u dont have to be rude about it.. sorry, not talking about u at all marilyn.

I like the palette in this one though it does not have tons of detail like your other works but it still holds my eye, continue to explore this, sometimes less is best. |
| (christiaan iken) |
Thanks J P, as u konw I don't care too much about detail, the black riders are almost sillouetes. Just wanted to add a few lights here and there, and yes I totallly agree with you, less is often beter. Cheers for visiting jp(kisses ass here )

Very cool version of the story. You did really well with the figures and horses. It seems that you have mastered acrylic paint. |

I think your interpretation of this scene is far more impressive than what I saw in the recently released movie.
It is more epic because it is on a grander scale.
Furthermore, it is more colorful and just flat out more dynamic.
I wish peter Jackson would have drew inspiration from this pic, oh well, guess that's what we artists are here for, to visualize things at their ultimate. |

That looks really good. It's a very dynamic image, and though all of the horses have their bits of anatomically incorrect-ness, given that they're made of bits of shadow and waves, this is appropriate. Great job! |

Great shading The horses are good, but I really like shading on the cloaks of the Nazgul. the black riders really stand out against the bright colours of the water. Well done! |

Wow! Striking! You've achieved such richness and depth with the water horses, I can feel them crashing towards me. Kudos to you! |
