Ohhh, nice galaxy. I wish I could see more of the ship though. It's very dark on my monitor (*sigh* which is no doubt my monitor's fault, and not yours). Still, very lovely. | | (Franz Miklis) |
thanks Jennifer for your friendly comment. I`m sorry if this piece looks a little bit dark but in this case I wanted to add a dramatic lighting (maybe to underline the touch of loneliness and darkness of being so far away from home). |

I really like the theme of the piece as well as the execution of your vision. :) | | (Franz Miklis) |
You are absolute right Marley. I love great space art paintings and had the opportunity to meet the nice gentleman and artist Chris Moore, Jim Burns and Fred Gambino several times. I even had the pleasure to be invited to a panel with Chris Moore and Fred Gambino at WorldCon in Chicago 2000 with the topic "The Great Yonder: how to create realistic Spacescapes". We had a great time....... |

I don't suppose your were inflenced by chris moore or peter ellson at all?.The colossal size of the ships was one of my favourite aspects of their art!for some reason this looks very familiar to me,so it's very nostalgic for me.Like its art you may find in the seventies or early eighties.Thats a great piece of art, with great ambience.Nice and vast thats for sure Franz.:) |
