You might be interested to know, speaking of the reds, that I started with just the sky - red, purple and orange streaks with some yellows on the right side - and built up everything in transparent strokes above that. This one was a bit of a rush job - their original artist pulled out and I had just a couple of weeks to do it. This is what I wish the Masters Of The Universe movie could have looked like (Castle Greyskull). Composition is tough, for sure, but as you know it's the starting point for any successful picture. In some ways it's like a house of cards, where every part is supporting every other part. But when done right, you don't even notice it! Leo Winstead 2005-03-22 Earl Norem Patrick, this is excellent! The layout and colors really remind me of Earl Norem's work like those old He-Man Golden Books covers. I love the skull castle and smoke effects.
