Rita Ria 2006-08-09 Fantastic work   (Michele-lee Phelan) Thank you, Rita :) It is always a pleasure and delight to see your name :) ken meyer jr 2006-08-09 Very nice...one thing I notice is the shadow that is missing from under the thumb (and under the moth there, unless the moth is sitting right on the hand)...the shadow of the fabric around her neck would lead me to believe those shadows would be a little more prominent and longer.   (Michele-lee Phelan) Ken, the moth is right up against her hand, but yes, you are also correct in saying that the shadow could probably be a little longer, especially on the right side. Thanks for taking the time to point it out :) Abigail Ryder 2006-08-09 Beautiful! Did you use gouache or transparent watercolors? They look so vibrant! I have difficulty getting this kind of intensity in my watercolors. Superb work, I love looking at it. :)   (Michele-lee Phelan) Hi Abigail :). I use watercolours primarily, although some of my works are acrylics and gouache. I do not dilute my watercolours as much as many would, and I also create more depth by layering colours over each other and adding finer details with coloured pencil. ken meyer jr 2006-08-09 No problem...and really cool signature, too! It's just a watermark/logo device I paste onto my online images so people have no excuse for 'borrowing' them as they believe them to be copyright free ;) Post a Comment
