Artwork Description

I called this image in regard of how important promises become to us with time:
as solid as a rock when we make them, they can become as fragile as the tiny link that connects us to them, if we don't really care.

I'm amazed at the beautiful filigree textures of the ivy upon the promise stone.

I am also drawn to the lit windows in the background-- they seem inviting and yet darkly mysterious at the same time, especially the ones at the most distant level.

Also, I love the concept!

The pleasure is mine, Mark. Smile

I've been exploring your gallery, exclaiming excitedly over each image I've clicked on- This one has become an immediate favorite! Your rendering of stone and stonework, your use of light,
the composition as a whole, and the concept itself- All are wonderful! Your work is as 'freeing' and inspiring as any I've seen- And your Epilogue interview most thoughtful and enjoyable reading also. Thanks very much for sharing your work!

Gasp! this is about the best rendering of a castle wall I have ever seen. The color and lighting is so outstanding too. It took me a moment to figure out what the promise was...Man that is good...You brought me into the story and left me hanging...Great Work!

Art at its best.
