Artwork Description

here is a panel from the cover i recently completed of the upcoming title "Guardians of the Forest" written by Graham McNeill and published by Black Library Publications under the Warhammer label(due to be released in september). it is a part of a vertical banner, with a little extra space on top and bottom for crop, though it holds together pretty well as presented. it was a fun gig and those folks were terrific to work with.

yeah, i too am partial to this one. i made it kind of the focus of the cover, as it sits on the upper right very prominently, and kind of has to be a bit more 'swish'. i never thought of doing prints. hmnn, i think the original is large enough, so maybe!

ooh i think i like this one better then the swordsman. its fantastic! are you going to do prints of this?

thejeff's picture

thanks simon! this prints out at about a little over an inch and a half by about three inches, and pops pretty well on the cover.

My second try at posting a comment before the site dies again Smile Great colours and depth, simple piece but very professional, nice job.

karyn, you sweety. you are a sharp observer, just one of the reasons i enjoy reading your comments. of course another is probably because you always say such nice things about my art;)

Hey, Jeff. Such a gorgeous piece. Love the blues and greens in the misty background, the costume design and the way you contrasted humor with deadly seriousness. The light in this one is really fab too.
