Artwork Description

A revised and improved edition of an earlier experiment, this multi-media beauty is my reply to questions of 'where do you keep your faerie art?'

She's a proud and firey sprite, curious of the stranger who's disturbed her exploration of the lava tubes. Don't look for her in your flower garden!

The original drawing was rendered in watercolor and oil pencils, before completion digitally. No filters, artificial textures, nor actual faeries were used or harmed in the creation of this picture. Smile

oooh I loved this pic from the first time i saw it on your website. I am more writer than artist. so, I came up with a whole character for her. I put her in stories and everything. I love her. Best farie ever!!!

You don't need a great amount of knowledge or training in art to be able to appreciate something that appeals to you. A heartfelt and honest reply like yours is no less valid than one from someone with years of experience in the genre, nor is it any less appreciated. Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. Smile

I love the colors! So bright!

(Sorry, I don't know anything about art, so all I can do is give gleeful praise!)

Why thank you Patience! I have to admit that while I also love the overall outfit, I think I had the most fun with those little pointy stinger boots - they just turned out so viciously cute. LOL Thanks again! Laughing out loud

I love her pose --she does look like she came to a screeching stop in order to check someone out. Her little get up is fun too.....

I must agree, the use of light and ambiance is so real...so so malevolent. I must have stared at this one for minutes unending, just marveling in it. I'm going now to tell my friends about this pic, it needs to be seen!!
