Artwork Description

Cover image for a book on the Elves of Lanai for Khan's Press. The painting was also destined for the author's wall! I did a lot of listening to classical music when painting this one.

Great Artwork!! Reminds me of Zepplins' Battle of Evermore.

Were you listening to the Ring Cycle, by any chance. (Wagner) Ride of the Valkyries?
If that is BrunHilde, she very good legs!
Again, expertly painted, your use of light is second to none. I have spent two hours looking at your paintings, so far tonight...very enjoyable! now 2am GMT.

This painting impressed me when I saw it. The line of waiting soldiers in the background is what did it... I love the background almost more than the foreground (and thats a rare occurence!) Great colours and composition as well...

This is a breathtaking piece, Janet! The composition, the lighting, the details on the shields, very impressive work indeed.

Very beautiful. The tendrils of metal and light are amazing, but I like best the light caught in the net of her hair. The picture glows.

Thanks very much, Marley. It was definitely a piece that took longer than usual and there were times I was utterly sick of it! My proudest moment was when it was finished--I still look at it now and ask, "I did that?" Smile
